Does Lackey Dispose of Glass?

No we do not. We will dispose of glass removed from a project that we install new on but we do not take any other used glass.

Can my fogged ig’s be repaired?

No they cannot. The fogging in the windows is caused from moisture getting between the glass when the seals break. There are various causes of this. What we do is replace the ig that is in your frame. It is much more economical than replacing the frame.

What is low-e glass?

Simply put, a piece of ordinary glass is coated with a very thin, non-toxic coating.
This coating makes the glass significantly more energy efficient by reducing the amount of solar energy allowed into a building through the glass in window openings. The purpose of the Low-E coating is to reduce the amount of solar radiation that enters a building from the infrared portion of the solar spectrum while still allowing a high degree of light to come into the building. The coating also helps to keep heat in a building during winter heating periods.

How long after installation can I clean my shower door?

After an hour you could shower but not clean the glass. Wait 24 hours for the silicone to cure completely before wiping or the silicone will smear and leave a residue behind on the glass.
